Get to Know Joanne
Joanne is a therapist with a Masters in Counselling Psychology from Adler University, and she’s a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. She has spent 15 years working with addictions and mental health issues in hospitals and community mental health teams.

Her clients have struggled with substance abuse, self-harm, anxiety, depression, and relationship problems.
Choosing therapy usually comes from feeling emotional pain, intense anxiety, or being stuck in harmful life patterns. Joanne can help with difficult life situations like relationship issues, parenting struggles, work problems, or coping with the loss of a loved one. She also has extensive experience supporting those dealing with substance abuse, Internet addiction, or self-destructive behaviours.

Joanne wants her clients to see progress quickly. She uses proven methods like CBT and DBT to help them feel more in control, understand themselves better, and trust their own thoughts and feelings. Understanding each client’s struggles is important to her before creating a treatment plan. If she can’t help, she’ll find someone who can.

She’s committed to helping clients in a compassionate and helpful way.
