Get to Know Joanne

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with 17 years of experience supporting individuals struggling with anxiety, depression and addictive disorders.  My approach is collaborative, compassionate, evidence- based and trauma informed.

I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR.) I integrate these modalities to help clients build practical skills, regulate emotions, process difficult life experiences and create meaningful relationships.

My approach is compassionate, practical and collaborative. Whether we are building tools for emotional regulation, addressing self-critical thought patterns or processing traumatic experiences, my focus is on helping clients feel more skillful and empowered in their daily lives.

My goal with my clients is to create a safe environment where mutual respect is present. I want to empower clients to leave sessions with new skills, insight, clarity and most importantly, more self compassion!
